Yeah, I was more drawing the parallel between the fact that the show writer and the fic writer are women and how they write women, not the SPN connection. I am not one of the people who think some fandoms are worse than others. I think that's wishful thinking that ones own fandom is better.

What your describing in that fic (and I think there's a generic fic finding com on DW storyfinders if you want to try to find it) seems more subtle and the sort of thing you could easily miss. I'll bet money the author has no idea what they wrote.
