I know what you mean, though, it is hard to have sympathy for women who write like this, but this fic was just so relentless in the policing and the judging while keeping that polite tone that I just stopped being bitter or angry and just felt kind of queasy. I think I might be hearing this author's mother.
Also stop hitting yourself is always a little too close to why doesn't she just leave him for me to be comfortable thinking it. Something that comes from knowing the answer to that question, I think.
