Great post, these are all great points. I think that those of us who are white need to acknowledge that we are part of a culture that creates these kinds of stories and as you said, it's not fandom, it's not J2 or SPN. It's not OMG unthinkable! that anyone would write this. Our entertainment is full of similar stuff that doesn't even get this level of outrage in response.
